Thinking of switching my whelen belly beacon strobe to Led, its starting to make noise and in my arrow that was a sure sign it is slowly starting to fail.
Current beacon is an all in one red whelen unit

Its on the belly of my aztec looking for something lighter and more streamlined.

I have narrowed it down to 2 choices, Red will be the colour

Aeroled Sunbeacon II - TSO
vs
Aveo Redbarron XP Galactica - certified

I have both the taxi and landing lights already replaced with Aeroled lights and have had great success with them im happy with their products. plus they are cheaper at the moment

Wondering if anyone has experience with these on the board, I had toyed with the idea of adding a 2nd beacon on the top of the fuselage like on a Barron for further visibility on the ground in daylight operations, the airfields I frequent are very busy training bases and I find new student pilots are unfamiliar with looking for beacons on the bottom of planes, mine isn't really that visible especially if close to the aircraft in daylight

both units seem to be able to be synced...

thoughts
Thanks
Eric
