One of the worst things that can happen to you is to have the Upper Cowling leave

the aircraft in flight.

To avoid this, proper maintenance of the Attaching Components at the front of cowling is

required.

On one aircraft the metal parts are in good shape and secure.

However, the composite type material near the Pin Attach Points Has some small cracks.

Any input on what material Piper used and repair materials/techniques?

I have seen Repairs ? with materials such as Body Filler that did little

to maintain integrity but reduces Pin Engagement.
