While I likely don’t have the critical version of this issue -yet- I can see it on the horizon.

Does any know know of a shop or shops who are currently working in the 17 gallon fiberglass tip tanks for 235s and 6s? I can see what look like some evidence of the typical “fuel begins to soak into the fiberglass” failure mode on mine.

I’m told replacements are actually still available, but are silly-expensive. I’ve also seen that rebuilding these tanks is no small feat, and requires fiberglass ninja-ness. I’ve already checked in with a few of the composite shops listed on Cherokee tips archives, and most seem out of business, or no longer in -that- business.
