Another 235 tip tank question

My 235 had been flown with the tip tanks dry for the last 25+ years.

I got the brilliant idea of putting 3 gallons in each to see how they would hold up.

The left pet cock leaked so I drained it out.

After a week or so the right simply went dry. No fuel on the ground and nothing in the cabin.

Could the fuel have leaked into the wing? If so, wouldn't it leak out of the wing somewhere?
