I'm thinking about putting my Six up for sale. I bought it a few months ago, paid $85k for it, and then ended up putting 22k into the engine (long story, but details can be found on two threads I started on this forum a few months ago). I know I'm upside down with the money I have in it. I was wondering if any of you guys have some advice on what I should ask for it. The airframe has 2500ish hrs, the engine has 650ish SMOH, although it was completely disassembled by Triad Aviation 2 months ago, new camshaft, new crankshaft in 08 (has about 100hrs on crank). The paint and interior are in great shape, autopilot works, has a 430 non-WAAS, King 155 NAV/Com, I had a new digital tach installed. At this point, the plane needs nothing. I recently flew my family from DC to SC, and it performed like a Six is supposed to. The smart thing for me to do would be to keep it and fly it enough to get my money's worth out of it, but I think I'm going to just sell it and buy another Van's RV. Any suggestions on asking price?
