Just bought a Cherokee 180 and it is in for annual. My A&P found some pretty significant cracks in wing walk sub-structure that were somehow missed on the pre-buy. Got a quote from Williams for $2500 not including paint, removal of wing, or installation. That adds up to more than we can afford right now. The question is... since this is not a structural part of the wing, can it be put off until next annual? The thing that really stinks is that this wing was just replaced by a repair station a couple years ago, I can't believe they didn't check for these cracks as it sounds like they're pretty common.
