For whatever reason, my new to me '66 140 has no Vaccum filter system in the plane. No fittings on the gauges, no hoses and no filter to be found. A review of the manual clearly shows it should have had one.....but it's not there. Maybe that's why both my DG and horizon are both junk. Many years of inhaling dust and dirt most likely. Actually, they are both very old AN units that need upgrades. I've secured reman modern units and my A&P and I are ready to install them, but we can't find a good spot to mount the new Rapco filter. Most of the places that appear good lead to conflicts with control system. Can anyone tell me where the factory mounted the filter? A picture would be even better. Thanks in advance!
