Looking for the spring that goes on the wastegate arm for a 1979 Turbo Lance II, TIO540SIAD. Lycoming part number LW-13671.

They've been on back order for awhile from parts distributors. You might try component overhaul shops, like Main Turbo in Visalia California.

Thanks, been trying to figure out what they are made of to make them even more expensive than normal airplane parts.

Unobtanium. It's a special aircraft alloy known for its ability to lighten wallets.

Actually it's probably made from inconel, which is a high temperature alloy with the same wallet lightening properties as unobtanium.

You forgot being lubricated with unicorn tears.

Unicorns, as a rule, are fairly happy animals. It’s extremely difficult to get them to frown, much less to cry.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Apparently this is a fairly rare type of turbo setup, the specialty shops don't carry them or work on them much. The engine part out people don't deal in this engine hardly at all. I was fortunate to find a brand new one in my backyard so to speak (Colorado) and he sold it to me at 2006 prices which was truly amazing.
