All,

I am hopeful to get some feedback from the group regarding some airspeed indicator issues I am experiencing following replacement of my airspeed indicator with a UMA TSO'd replacement. The old indicator displayed no such behavior.

In short, the new indicator is very twitchy, oftentimes oscillating +/- 3 knots or more even in the calmest air. During the takeoff roll, the indicator will lag and then suddenly catch up. When it does settle down, it is actually quite accurate when compared to the IAS displayed on the Aspen (though it still oscillates). The Aspen IAS seems much more steady and therefore I am doubtful it is a pitot issue. The other static instruments appear normal so I believe the static source to be OK.

Here is a video showing a normal takeoff and climb and the associated indications from the IAS and Aspen. Only the first minute or so is necessary to see the issue. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
