I bought my plane from a guy who was leasing it from the owner, he and his partner then bought it from the owner then decided they would rather buy a nice simulator for the flight school they were opening up instead so I bought it from the partership. When i sent in my bill of sale, I/we accidentally filled out and sent in the bill of sale as if I had bought it from the original owner (not the partnership, we skipped an owner). After 2 months in Oklahoma City with no feedback, I called them and they explained the error. So, I called up the guy I got it from and 2 weeks later, he sent me a bill of sale that correctly showed the chain of ownership. Now, When i talked to the FAA on the phone, they said they usually had a 2-3 week turn around on Registrations and were running 35 days behind that. I have less than 1 month left on my 90 day temporary registration and just got the good bill of sale in the mail today. I don't want to be grounded due to paperwork problems. Anybody ever had any experience with the FAA a registration paperwork technicalities. Are they pretty good about getting this resolved quickly? Will I need to fill out some sort of extension etc...?
