I'm looking for a CDI to match with my soon to be installed SL-30 and was wondering about the back course annunciator. It seems that if you use anything that is not composite to the CDI the install manual shows a BC annunciator. This isn't too big of a deal with an MD200-306 since it has a BC annunciator. However, with any of the other indicators it shows an external BC annunciator. Is this annunciator required or only shown as an option. The install manual isn't too much help on if it's required or not.
