Hi, I'm new to the forum. Wondering if anyone else has had an issue with their mixture cable getting scorched where it goes by the turbocharger, melting the outer sheathing and then starting to bind. This didn't happen in the first 10 year of ownership, but once it was replaced the first time it has now had to be replaced over three consecutive annuals. I think maybe the shop that replaced it originally didn't install correctly. My current mechanic suggests a heat shield but that was used last year also and it still scorched. I'm wondering if anyone else has had an issue, does the cable route just a few inches from the turbo (on the same side as a thick metal plate) and does it have other protection like a tube or special wrapping. Thanks.
