Just ordered and received a replacement console for my 1967 PA28-140. When I opened the box I noticed it was missing the red lens for the overhead panel light.

I contacted Plane Parts Company and was told that for them to include the lens it opens up a whole new ball of wax with the FAA. They said my old lens should be salvageable but just in case any suggestions as to what I could use, I assume it's just a transparent piece of red plastic?
