Replacing Landing lights - Recommendations?

I hate the halogen landing lights in the wing tips of my 98 Archer 3. Huge current draw, and they don't do much. (You don't even see the runway surface until you are already flaring.) I'd like to replace them with LEDs, preferably doing it myself with the direct replacement types.

Any recommendations?
