Just installed the Plane power R1224 in my PA-28-160 and a Overhauled Chrysler alternator all running good and charging, today we noticed that there is a resister on the bus bar near the electrical fuel pump and behind the bus bar this resister is getting very hot either engine running or only with the master on I have enclosed a picture and would like to know is this a Shunt or resister and I have gone through the parts manual and service manual and have found no help there anybody have ideas . Please note we still have the Gen/amp guage still installed as well which is showing good when the engine is running.
