Looking for advice please,
Our 1976 Lance with a bit over 7000 hours (largely clocked up on Out Back Australian unsealed strips) has developed (what looks like a surface) crack on the main gear leg.

It has been suggested we send it to a specialist aviation welder for repair. Followed by normalizing and NDT inspection.

I can not find any repair procedures for gear legs.

Do any of the Engineers on the list have comments or advice to offer?

Thanks in advance.
