So the factory outside air temp has been removed from my PA-28 and previous owner had a little electronic device the was drilled into a side window that has failed. I currently have no outside temp gauge which begs a few questions:
  • For IFR flight, am I required to have a "certified" temperature gauge?
    • If so, which one and where can I get it?
    • If not, what's a good simple and affordable gauge to use?

Thank You!
