I am cornfused.
approved owner maintenance includes, per FAR's, both:
1) Replacement of any hose connection except hydraulic
2) Replacement of prefab fuel lines
Now I am told that I cannot replace oil lines.
Would this not be a "hose other than hydraulic"?
Why on earth would the FAA allow me to replace a fuel line and not an oil line?
Which one would you rather have fail? I'd go with the oil line failure for sure. Less chance of burning to a crisp!!!
Silly.
