Well I've got about 20 hours on the airplane since my last oil change, and after a nice flight this morning I noticed a black splat on the nose gear fairing. Opened up the cowl and I'm seeing oil running down the engine mount, around the base of the oil drain spigot threads, along the side/bottom of the oil sump, and up toward the front of the engine. Looks like some drips on my new powerflow exhaust heat shroud/collector too which sits under the engine, ahead of the carburetor. What are the most likely places to look for such an oil leak? This is an O320. I'm thinking front crankshaft seal maybe? I know oil leaks usually look worse then they are, that oil really spreads around in flight. I'll be pulling the cowlings off to get a better look and talking to my IA.
