I received my PPL SEL back in 1998 but never had the resources to purchase. Today renting is not as affordable as it was in the early 2000s. Now at 70 I no longer possess a valid medical so I tag along in the right seat of a Piper Arrow II partly owned by a pilot friend.
In the meantime I have been building a home sim that is identical to a Piper Arrow II complete with some real Arrow components. Its cheaper than buying a real airplane but it cant take me anywhere IRL.
My primary reason for joining is to see if I can get info on how some systems actually work in the Arrow that may help me build my replica.
