Thinking about moving and Missouri is popping up as a possibility.
Checking AOPA, it has a 5% personal property tax on 'assessed' value.

Numerous questions arise:
1) Who assesses the value?
2) How close does that value mirror VREF (for my own estimates)
3) Is this tax paid annually or just when you move to the state?
4) Am I missing anything?

I have a '68 Arrow I which I assess at a value of about 60k. That's $3k in tax just to HAVE the damn thing.
Thoughts?

PS: Considering I may be able to work remotely and PICK a new state to live (though from the midwest, westward), any recommendations for GA friendly locales?
Cheers
