Mag OH/IRAN earlier than 500hr?

Dual mag on a Lycoming O-540-J3A5D

Is there any benefit to performing an overhaul/IRAN earlier than 500hr based on time since the last overhaul? Has anyone with experience doing these overhauls found anything of interest earlier than the 500hr mark?

I fly my family out of an urban area, so I am thinking of going to a twin at some point in the future, but for now I want to be as safe as possible with what I have. Thanks in advance.
