Just took delivery of my 1967 Cherokee 180 C. She's a beautiful ship with an interesting history and she's the fulfillment of a lifelong dream I've had since I was a little boy. Like a lot of people, I tried to pursue my passion when I was younger by getting my pilots license in the hope of being able to use it regularly. Unfortunately, life got in the way. But I managed to re-engage my passion at 53 and with a wonderfully supportive wife. I actually took delivery of 65J two days after my birthday so I couldn't have asked for a better birthday. And it was a great delivery flight - I took it off of the seller's hands and flew it down from Colorado across some of the most beautiful (and desolate) parts of this great country. Since I'm not current I had my brother, who has his ticket and over 2,500 hours in the air, fly it while I sat in the right seat. I should be current within the next few weeks and plan on spending many, many hours in the air with this beautiful gal.
Cheers.
Cheers.
