I have a 1946 J-3 that was converted to a PA-11 20 years ago. It has a pressure cowl, O-200 engine, swing out early Super Cub engine mount, two 18 gallon wing tanks, front seat pilot station, baggage compartment and other upgrades like Cleveland Brakes, big Tail wheel etc.

It does not have the larger SC horizontal stabilizers and is still the stock GW of just over 1200#.

I would like to keep this Cub and have it rebuilt/converted to a SCub or close thereto. I want more power and useful load.

I want to know what difference there is between this airframe and a SC and what would be involved. At a minimum, a 135 horse engine, Scub tail feathers and at least 1500 GW would suffice. Anyone know the issues and options here?
