I have a 1978 Piper Lance II with 5200 hours - 50 hours into my 100 hour - I have been getting consistent oil mist coming from the exhaust vents onto the pilot side of the glare shield - this mist only appears at take off power - there is no oil that presents itself at runup - we have consistently checked the oil filler cap to ensure that it is secure wit no leak - upon landing - there is oil present on the top of the cowling exhaust area
