I have a 1975 235 which I'm loving with one exception. When cabin heat is turned on (fairly often this time of year, i'm northeast of Toronto) the ducts that run either side of the flap handle to the rear get so hot it is unbearable to get close to them, and given that my right foot and my passenger's left foot typically rest very close, it gets extremely uncomfortable. Is this typical and if so has anyone come up with any kind of method to address it - if it's not typical what do you think is the problem?

Thanks,
