I received an unusual voicemail today. An aircraft broker says she has a client that would like to buy my tail number N7AZ. She said he would pay for the paint work to put a new tail number on my airplane plus some $$$.
The gentleman who sold me the Aztec once had 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 AZ (his initials are AZ). Years ago he sold a couple tail numbers to the state of Arizona for their business jets.
I don’t have any desire to sell my tail number, but I thought it was interesting. I wonder what a tail number sells for these days?
