GTN 650 has red X over com frequencies

I can no longer control the GTN 650 frequency due to a dreaded red X over the com frequencies. I can feel my wallet getting lighter.

The GTN maintenance manual calls for checking the com section power and ground pins. I did that and all is good in regards to power and ground pins.

This GTN has been running for years so not a new install.

Has anyone encountered this situation?
