I am overdue for offering an official greetings to the group here. On Saturday I just to possession of my first plane - a 65 Cherokee 180 C. Really a beauty of a plane. I don't want to be presumptuous, but the previous owner was a member in very good standing on this here forum - am I allowed to mention names? OK. Mike McGrath. I say that because 1) he had one of the best kept and maintained planes that I have run across and 2) I could not happen upon a better person to work with on the transaction of this, my first plane. A first class guy with a first class plane.
This is my first plane. I completed my PPL in April. And my options for rental are limited. That - plus I'm a "like to own my own possessions" kind of a guy, lead me to ownership. We looking for a solid plane (Cherokee or Sundowner) and Mike happened to potentially be in transition. I think I made a great choice.
I have been lurking - minimally posting - on the forum hear for several months. I am looking forward to both learning more and contributing what I can.
My plane will be in MO - KUUV.
To all - let me know what I can do to contribute.
Gary
