Life of a plane owner....so I brought 711PF in for a 30 hr oil change. The only squawks I had were a scratchy mic jack and intermittent A/C door light. Few hours after I dropped it off shop called and said that it wasn't idling well. Now this plane has a factory new roller 540 with 340 hrs on it. I had just flew it and it had performed beautifully. Talking to the mechanic he said that when closing the mixture it had too much idle rise and it had completely shut down on low throttle once. I downloaded and reviewed the engine data and sure enough there was #4 and #6 warmer than the others. Hmmm how did I not see this. So we fired her up and shot the intake with some WD40 and sure enough intake leaks. Running like a kitten again. Just like bald tires will creep up on you in your car stuff like this makes a big difference. Changed 2, 4 and 6. Oil change, new gaskets, Blackstone sample and Mic work $471.00.
