I used it in planes with no electrical system for a while then had it refurbished by Garmin in 2011. When I got it back from Garmin, I put it in a drawer because I thought someday I might need it again. That day never came. It's in perfect condition. No scratches or rub marks. Looks new. It still has the protective plastic film on the face, but it has Dec 2011 data, so it needs updating.
