I recently purchased a PA-34-200T Seneca II with R/STOL. I love the airplane and have flown about 80 hours since the purchase. Left engine was complete field overhaul to new specs, right engine was 1000 hrs SMOH when I purchased the plane. Here is my question: Is it normal for fuel to leak out of the drain at the bottom of the nacelle when the auxiliary pump is on and fuel pressure builds up (after about 3 seconds) when the engine is not running. Both engines do this but I see nothing in POH and it just doesn't seem normal to me. My A&P says it's "probably normal and nothing to worry about" but I wanted to find out from a Seneca pilot if this really is typical. The fuel doesn't just drip out, it runs out like a faucet when pump is on high or low.
Both engines run smooth and start easily. G4 Twin engine monitor shows the EGTs, CHTs, and fuel flows are normal and balanced. The plane couldn't run smoother but I'm still concerned.
Let me know your thoughts. Thanks
