Thought I’d share these. Yesterday flew from Los Angeles to Seattle for work and passed by some awesome sights.
Broke through marine layer in the early morning leaving L.A. and then clear skies all the way to Seattle. We passed Mt. Shasta, did a loop around Crater Lake, another loop around Mt St Helens, and passed by Hood and Rainier. By the time we got to Seattle the fog had lifted enough that KRNT Renton was reporting 500 overcast which is minimums on the LPV approach. Shot the approach and came through the fog just above minimums. It was pretty much clear skies everywhere east of there and we were only in in for a few minutes. Great flight and I was amazed at the incredible mountains and rock formations and terrain.
