I recently took my '79 Dakota up yesterday with my wife and mother-in-law. I went up prior to taking them up for about an hour just to check things out and make sure everything would run properly, because it had been sitting for about 2 weeks. I landed and picked them up (shut down for 20 min), I took back off and climbed to about 2000 feet. I started to clean it up for cruise and as soon as i brought back the mixture I began to feel a real vibration at my feet and loss of power. I immediately turned back for the airport and landed. I did happen to notice my JPI was going nuts and my #1 piston was not reporting anything and my oil temp had spiked.

I am terrified to know the outcome, anyone have a worst case scenario what could be wrong? It just came out of its annual maybe 8 hours ago? I did notice the compressions in cylinder 1 and 6 were lower than last years annual (this is new purchase for me).

any help would be great!
