I have a 3 year old Gill battery in my Cherokee 235 right now and it has a tendency to leak and behave badly like would be expected from a small tank of lead and acid. Has anyone gone down the road of a lithium replacement? Also considering the obvious upgrade to a Concord or other typical sealed aircraft battery.

I came across an experimental battery that is lithium, recently received TSO for certified aircraft. EarthX Lithium Batteries has a TSO'd 12V battery for certified aircraft! I don't need the weight savings, but the better duty and maintanance potential of the lithium battery is intriguing. Assuming I can work with my IA to get necessary approval etc., does anyone have any first hand experience with this type of battery?
