My tach is starting show it’s age (after 7700 hours that seems reasonable) with low readings and a bouncy needle. Rather than overhaul it I’m leaning toward replacing it with a digital tach.

At the moment I’m looking to install a horizon P-1000 after seeing one in a friends aircraft.

Does anyone have any reviews on this unit, or any recommendations for other tach options?
