I’ve started instructing for an Explorer post that has an older Cherokee 140. I really dislike the checklist they have in their Cherokee. Not only is it a multi page flip type which makes it hard to find the appropriate page for the phase you’re in, but it is also very generic and gives a range of airspeeds to cover all years of 140’s verses the V speeds for that airframe. Not very conducive for training in my opinion. Another CFI that has also volunteered to work with the kids feels the same.
I’m in the process of creating a simple front & back checklist as well as a binder for home study pulling data from the POH, TCDS, STC’s and so forth. But I thought I’d see if any 140 owners had a checklist they really liked that they’d be willing to share?
