Currenlty in process of restoring a Cherokee 180C. Just finished the engine overhaul, and getting ready to start on new paint. Since my radio knowledge is next to nothing as its something I really never needed due to where we fly, I am looking for a good solid radio stack on a budget. When finished, the plan is for the kids to learn to fly before we sell it and upgrade. I don't have an unlimited budget for full garmin stack. Currently only thing in it I plan on keeping is the kx-155 as a backup radio. I have been looking at everything and just don't know what direction to go. The only thing I am close to settling on is the Stratus ESG transponder. Bang for buck I haven't found anything close. Thanks
