I was an original i-phone (3g) owner several years ago. About 2 years ago I made the switch to a samsung galaxy s3 and have really really liked it.

It's time for a new phone and from what I can tell (as a new plane owner/ PPL student) the iphone looks like the better choice for one primary reason... foreflight. I realize it'll primarily be used on an ipad but the ability to use forefight on my phone would be a big plus.

Can anyone out there tell me if my thinking is correct? Aside from the aviation utility I'd go with an android phone for sure.
