Best Arrow model and to turbo or not to turbo

Hi all,

I am looking for a nice IFR equipped Arrow that has not been beaten to a pulp as a trainer or rental to use for trips and advanced training. I've flown a Piper Arrow II but wanted to find out if the Arrow III is worth the extra cost.

Also living on the west coast, the turbo sounds nice but I hear horror stories about the turbo issues and engine problems.
