Reaching out to the community for some advice and insights regarding a flap issue I've been experiencing with my 75 E model.
Here's the backstory: After a few years of sitting due to medical reasons, I recently got back in the skies after completing an annual and some avionics upgrades that took a year (still not completed. During the annual, I let a neighbor facing an urgent issue with his Aztec take my flap actuator Same Mechanic) We agreed they would rebuild his and and install it in my plane when completed.
Fast forward to now, I'm back in the air, but the flaps aren't cooperating during flight. They work fine on the ground and with the hand pump, but when it comes to landing, no dice. I tested them before takeoff, I was able to have them move at per-flight and in hanger with the hand pump, but they refuse to deploy during flight.
The mechanics claim it's not the actuator, as they rebuilt it. However, I have a hunch that something might have been overlooked during the swap or that there might be a hydraulic issue.
Has anyone here faced a similar problem with their 75 E model flaps or any hydraulic system? I'm looking for advice on where to start troubleshooting. Could it be a hydraulic fluid issue, air in the lines, or perhaps an electrical glitch?
I'd greatly appreciate any insights or experiences you can share. I KNOW, NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!!!!
