I appear to have a bad alternator. AP checked the field and main voltage (on alternator) and it is there along with a good belt.

What are some options here? This is a 1965 Model C aztec. Not adverse to upgrading systems and the whole system looks kinda goofy (with the shared regulator for two field windings).

The plane power system looked interesting.... but the labor I was concerned about (20 hrs).
