I have a 1968 pa28r 180 w/ a chrysler alternator. I recently replaced the old volt reg and overvolt relay due to the alt kicking off line after gear retraction w/ a Plane Power R1224 which fixed the problem for a couple of flights. Now the field breaker is popping. I ordered 2 used 5 amp breakers which I have not gotten yet to rule out the possibility of a weak breaker. I recently had the alt bench tested at an alternator shop and replaced the noise filter on it from aircraft spruce. I also added an alt inop light w/ a jumper from aux to enable as per their tech since the chrysler does not have an aux term on it. Any ideas or t/s techniques would be greatly appreciated.
