Arrow Oil Quick Drain Puzzle

During the EXTENSIVE annual and inspection on my Arrow that's been sitting idle since 2016, I decided it was time for the oil and filter change. I have access to every 'quick drain' I or a friend's large aircraft repair business have.
NOTHING that either of us have is usable to open and drain this quick drain. Only recourse was to remove it completely and drain it like a normal drain plug. There's NOTHING like oil running down your sleeve into your arm pit!
So by the next oil change I'll have ordered a Saf-Air F-50, for which I have the 'screw on' release and drain tube nipple.
Anyone know what this is or possibly know what is used to connect the drain line? I can release it by hand by pushing up on the inner valve, and we tried all of our combined adapters (Saf-Air, Curtis etc.)
What should have been a half hour job took WAY to long because of the re-safety tieing, cleaning the mess on me and the floor and the gear and the........
