An arrow crashed today on takeoff. 4 on board and the last word I heard was the pilot and his wife had minor injuries, back seat passengers were ok, thank goodness. Very sobering to watch 4 helicopters land and take them away using the runway I land and depart regularly. FAA/NTSB will be here tomorrow to investigate. I hesitate to speculate, but looked like a stall on departure. I was outside and saw him lift off. I thought the attitude was way too high, but thought he got it pushed back down. I was working moving a couple of planes around in my yard, and after he went out of sight, didn't think much more and went back to what I was doing. I did hear a 'thump', but it didn't really sound like a crash, more like a door slamming. Then a few minutes later heard sirens that were getting closer, and I walked down to the runway and saw the plane off to the side. Plenty of emergency crews were already there, so I just stayed out of the way. Just glad everyone survived.
