Now that the chill is starting to hit the air in the colder climates, I'm again starting to think about how winter flying sucks because of icing (assuming your flying IMC). I found a blog talking about some solution that you essentially "paint" onto the leading edge of your wings that is supposed to be more of a preventative measure for those of us without weeping wings, boots, or hot wings. Question is, anybody heard of such a product? I would be highly interested in learning more. Not looking to fly into heaving icing conditions, but it would be nice to take cross country IFR trips without having the huge fear I have now of ice build up.
