So I got a full interior from Airtex. I decided that I could handle the carpet, headliner, and side panels, but I decided to ask an upholstery shop to do the seats. When I dropped off the seats the verbal time estimate was “about 11hours.” Seemed reasonable.

For folks who replaced the upholstery on the front buckets and the rear bench, how long did it take you? I think that 11 is light if you are doing this for the first time, but if your business is aircraft interior and paint you have enough experience to do it this quickly.

When I picked up the finished seats, I got a total bill of $3800 for 35 hours of work. Ouch. I did not get a written estimate, so my bad, but 3X what they originally told me is pretty tough to swallow.
