Im surprised this hasn’t been posted yet. This affects T-Arrows, Aerostars, and most Pipers with turbos.
After a few rounds of SAIBs, the FAA had finally issued an AD mandating inspection / replacement of v-band clamps at designated intervals. Spot welded clamps have a 500 hour interval.
The AD goes into effect July 17th, and there’s a 50 hour window to research your records and determine the vintage of your clamps. Inspection/replacement actions to follow from there.
