I bought an arrow about 6 months ago and have had a few small issues with it. However today my mechanic called me and told me when he took it for a ride the plane got very rough when leaning and stayed rough. The ground run was bad on all mags but the injectors/spark plugs checked out fine. Currently the plane is stranded and another mechanic is taking a look at it at the airport that he was leaving at the time.
The engine only has 450 hours but it was overhauled back in 1994, when I did a borescope prior to buying everything looked clean even though the previous owner hardly flew it. Engine is a Lycoming IO360-CIC.
Any ideas what it could be? I'm going to ask the local mechanic to do a compression check first to make sure it's not an engine block/valve issue (so I know whether or not I can eat for the next few weeks). Beyond that he has already checked the spark plugs and injectors and I can't think of anything else.
