I have a bit of play in the pilot's yoke in my 1967 PA28-180. I suspect the universal joint needs replacement. According to the A&P, even a new $300 universal will have some play. Has anyone ever replaced theirs and has it helped? I have the correct McFarland part number (62834). Is the installation difficult? Looking at the joint, the replacement seems to be a bolt-on install.
